| ATV Accident
Kills Drexel Man |

| An all-terrain vehicle accident on Bryant Rd.
claimed the life of a 58 year old Drexel man on June 8. |
| |
| Grady Trivette, Jr., of Bryant Rd. in Drexel was
killed when his ATV overturned, pinning him underneath. Trivette died at the
scene. |
| |
| According to Investigator Tom Rhyne, Trivette
had received information that a business partner was involved in a separate
accident on Bryant Rd. Trivette drove his ATV to the scene of that accident to
check on his partner; however no one was at the crash site. |
| |
| Trivette apparently attempted to leave the
accident scene by crossing over a ditch recently cleaned out by road crews.
Rhyne states that the ATV began to spin in the soft soil, causing it to
overturn and pin Trivette underneath. |

| Trivette's death has been ruled an accident. The
vehicle accident involving Trivette's business partner is being investigated by
the N.C. State Highway Patrol. |
