Caldwell Joint Investigation Nets Arrests |

| A joint investigation involving the Burke County
Narcotics Task Force and the Caldwell County Narcotics Division resulted in the
seizure of approximately nine pounds of marijuana in Valdese. An
additional seizure of an undisclosed amount of marijuana was made in Caldwell
County on May 2nd. |

| As the investigation progressed, narcotics
investigators contacted Rowan County narcotics officers to execute a search
warrant at a Rowan County address. The search resulted in approximately
twenty-one additional pounds of marijuana being seized, along with currency and
a vehicle. |

| Arrested was Alan Lynn Bradford, 31, of 11950
Shinn Road, Mt. Ulla; Jesus Bautista Rodriguez, 27, of 308 N. Boundary Street,
Salisbury; Rojelio Hernandez Rodriguez, 31, of Greensboro; and Danny Lee
Miller, 50, of 185 Hunter Street, Salisbury. Jesus Rodriguez was
previously convicted in Rowan County for narcotics violations and deported,
according to detectives who allege he is currently in the United States
illegally. |

| The four men face charges which include
trafficking marijuana, conspiracy to traffick marijuana, possession with intent
to manufacture marijuana, maintaining a place for controlled substances, and
resisting, obstructing and delaying an officer. |

| The four were taken to the Rowan County
Sheriff's Office, and the investigation continues between the three law
enforcement agencies. |
