Anderson Arrested for Grocery Break-In
 
A Morganton resident was arrested Tuesday and charged with breaking into a Connelly Springs convenience store and stealing tobacco products worth $2,600.

Nicholas Ryan Anderson (left), 20, of 2729 Rose Creek Road was also charged with resisting an officer at the time of his arrest, according to investigators with the Burke County Sheriff's Office. 
 
Paris Hudson of H&H Grocery, located at 8590 NC 18 South, made the report to the Sheriff's Office on November 30th. Evidence recovered at the scene led investigators to Anderson. 
 
The investigation revealed another male was with Anderson at the time of the burglary; however the man has not been identified. The case remains under investigation. 
 
Anderson was jailed under a $25,000 secured bond and will have a first court appearance on December 7th.
