Burke and Caldwell deputies
arrested a 68-year-old man Thursday for a sexual offense which allegedly
occurred in Burke County on October 18th.
Detectives charged
Ronald Gene Dierdorf (right), of 2422 Gabriel
Lane, Lenoir with five counts of first degree statutory sexual offense for
allegedly committing indecent acts again two female juveniles. The ages and
relationships of the juveniles to Dierdorf were not disclosed by
investigators. |

| Dierdorf was living on Amherst Road in Morganton
at the time of the offenses, detectives said, and moved to Lenoir shortly
afterward. |

| A $100,000 bond was set for Dierdorf, who was
confined to the Burke County Jail and has a first court appearance
today. |
