| Two
Arrested, Charged in Check Forgeries |
| |
 |
Two men were
arrested after one of the men reportedly attempted to cash a counterfeit check
in the town of Rhodhiss. His arrest led to the discovery of a bogus check
making operation.
Rhodhiss police officers nabbed James Leon Francisco
(left), 35, of 1176 East Field Road in
Worthington, Ohio and determined he had received the check from Room 22 at
Lowman's Motor Court in Hildebran. |
|
| Rhodhiss officers, along with
Burke County investigators and the Longview Police Department later conducted a
search of the motel room and arrested David Glenn Roberts (right), 30, after seizing equipment used in the
forgery of counterfeit checks. Investigators say the items seized included two
counterfeit checks made out to the suspects, several blank checks with partial
numbers, over three hundred blank checks, and a word processor used to type the
checks. |
 |
|
| Rhodhiss Police officers charged both Francisco
and Roberts, and more charges are pending from several different
agencies. |
