Man Arrested for Bad Checks Wanted in Arkansas

The Burke County Sheriff's Office arrested a man Monday on numerous worthless check charges and felony check charges in Arkansas.

Kristopher Price
The 23-year-old man, who was using the name of Joseph Shannon France as an alias, is actually Kristopher Ray Price of Icard, detectives say.  Price is accused of writing numerous worthless checks to area businesses under the pseudonym of Joseph France. He has also used the alias of George H. Smith, Jr., according to Sheriff's Office records.

After the arrest, Price was turned over to Caldwell County authorities to face similar charges there.

Investigators request area businesses receiving worthless checks from Joseph France to contact the law enforcement agency in their jurisdiction to file a report.
