Man Caught by Deputies After Break-In |
| |
Deputies, while on patrol
after a reported burglary in the Smokey Creek section of Burke County, located
a Lenoir man emerging from the woods and later charged him with felonious
breaking and entering. The burglary occurred just before noon
today.
Jason Brian Kiziah (right), 23, of
Horsehoe Bend Road is charged with breaking into the residence of Ronnie Crump,
located at 1770 Old Amherst Road in Morganton. |
 |
|
| According to detectives, Crump was at home at
the time and confronted Kiziah when he heard someone enter the house via the
front door. Kiziah reportedly ran from the residence, leaving his car in the
driveway. |
| |
| Deputies converged on the scene and set up
roadblocks on roads near Crump's house. They located Kiziah within the
hour as he emerged from a wooded area approximately 1/4 mile from Crump's
residence. |
| |
| Kiziah will make a first court appearance
tomorrow. He was placed in the Burke County Jail under a $5,000 secured
bond. |
