| Adkins
Arrested...AGAIN |
| |
 |
29-year-old Terry Lynn
Adkins is in trouble with the law again, as officers say he began breaking into
businesses again immediately after being released from jail on
bond.
Adkins was charged with the break-in of H&H Grocery on Highway
18 South in Connelly Springs. Deputies responding to the burglary found the
front door had been kicked in and hundreds of cigarettes stolen. |
|
After a short investigation,
a residence on Teague Avenue in Icard was searched and officers arrested Adkins
without incident. The cigarettes, the store's cash register drawer containing
assorted change, and an assortment of knives were also recovered.
"I'm
happy about this arrest," said Burke County Sheriff John T. McDevitt (pictured right with the recovered loot). "Adkins'
nocturnal activities have been a thorn in our side ever since he made
bond." |
 |
|
| Charges in more break-ins which occurred in
Burke and other counties are pending, McDevitt said. |
| |
| Adkins was
arrested three months
ago and charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine. He
was placed under a $100,000 secured bond at that time and released after his
bond was posted. He was later arrested on other charges but made bond again on
February 1st. |
| |
| In Friday's H&H Grocery break-in, Adkins was
jailed under $50,000 bond and will have a first court appearance on February
18th. |
