Impact-West Absconders Charged with B&E&L |
| |
| Three teens assigned to the Impact-West program
were jailed Tuesday after allegedly walking away from the facility and breaking
into a nearby house. |

| Lakeith Deshon Wall, 17, of 2703 Wingate Avenue,
Charlotte; Darius Odell Webster, 18, of 665 Atkinson Road, Silam; and Jason
Troy Crouse, 17, of 167 Raspberry Lane, Sparta are suspected of burglarizing
the home of Connie B. Whisnant at 215 Arnold Drive in Morganton. Whisnant
reported the theft of clothes, coins and jewelry. |

| A Burke County deputy confronted the trio
shortly after the burglary; however they ran away. After a search by officers
with the Sheriff's Office, Morganton Department of Public Safety and the
Broughton Police Department, the teens were apprehended separately in the Enola
Road and Mull Elementary School area. |

| The three suspects had began the Impact program
on March 4th, authorities said. |

| In addition to the breaking, entering and
larceny warrant each teen was served, they will be probably be facing probation
violation charges as well, an investigator said. |

| The teens were jailed under a $10,000 bond and
has a first court appearance today. |
