Arrested on Sexual Offense |

The Burke County Sheriff's Office arrested a Morganton
man Thursday and charged him with a statutory sexual offense.
Detectives
say Arthur Rhett Gunter (right), 48, of 1301
Razor Ridge Road committed the sexual act on a relative, who was under the age
of 13 at the time. The incident reportedly occurred on September 29,
2001. |

Gunter was released after posting a $25,000 secured
bond and will have a first court appearance today. |
