| UPDATE:
Adams Arrested After Anonymous Tip |

An anonymous
tip Friday night led investigators to the Valdese area and Ricky Lee Adams
(left), 21. Adams was being sought in connection
with a breaking and entering to the home of Christopher Pritchard of 5546 Fish
Hatchery Road in Morganton on June 29th.
Burke County detectives had
asked for the public's help in locating Adams, who was reportedly on the run.
The tip came in around 8:15 p.m Friday. |

| Adams was arrested without incident at 620
Milton Road in Valdese by Burke detectives and officers with the Valdese Police
Department. |

| Adams, of 6536 Globe Road, Lenoir was served
warrants detectives had issued in the break-in of Pritchard's residence. Two
firearms were taken during the break-in, according to reports. |
| |
| Warrants charging Adams with one count of
breaking and entering, and two counts of felonious larceny were served.
Outstanding warrants are also being held by the Caldwell County Sheriff's
Office for unrelated charges. |

| Adams was jailed under a $35,000 secured bond
and has a first court appearance scheduled for today. |
