Tip Leads to Thief's Arrest
 
An anonymous citizen's tip led deputies to a mobile home business, and the arrest of a man who was allegedly attempting to steal items from one of the trailers on September 16th.

Roger Lee Cook (right), 20, of 1041 Iron Lane, Morganton was reportedly caught by deputies inside the locked gates of Fleetwood Homes, located at 2730 Rutherford College Road in Connelly Springs. 
 
The citizen alerted authorities around 8:30 p.m. and told them a suspicious vehicle was on the property of Fleetwood Homes. Deputies arrived four minutes later and reportedly found Cook loading the stolen items into the back of his pickup. 
 
Cook was charged with felonious breaking and entering, felonious larceny, and felonious possession of stolen goods. He was placed in the Burke County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond and has a first court appearance set for September 18th.
