Man Arrested on Sex Charges |

Burke County
detectives arrested a 38-year-old Hickory man on Thursday and charged him with
the sexual abuse of a five-year-old male child.
Scott Lee Christopher
(left), of 1207 12th Street N.E., Hickory was
charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child, and two
counts of first degree statutory sexual offense. The charges stem from
incidents allegedly occurring on August 30th. |

| According to a detective, Christopher was a
frequent visitor of the home where the child resided. The investigation
began on September 4th after the detective learned the assault reportedly
occurred in Burke County. |

| The detective said he could not release any
further information at the present; although he stated other charges may be
pending. |
| |
| Christopher was placed under a $100,000 secured
bond and has a first court appearance today. |
