Raids on Two Morganton Homes Net Arrests
 
Law enforcement officers armed with search warrants swooped down on three separate locations on January 22nd. The searches resulted in the arrests of several people. 
 
James Edward Connelly (left), 56, of 216 Morgan Drive Trailer Park, Lot#7, Morganton was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine and maintaining a residence to keep controlled substances. Twenty-eight rocks of cocaine were reportedly found during the search.

Also arrested at Connelly's residence was Darren Leviticus Robinson (below, left), 35, of 407 Vine Arden Road, Morganton.
 
Robinson was charged with possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine.

Both Connelly and Robinson were jailed under $25,000 secured bonds and had first court appearances in Burke County District Court on January 24th.

Officers also executed a search warrant at 220
Morgan Drive, the residence of Naomi Germaine Michaux, 30. A small quantity of cocaine, digital scales and currency were reportedly seized from the residence. Charges are pending in the matter, according to detectives.
 
A search of a home located at 400 Roper Street resulted in the arrests of two brothers living there, as well as a woman who allegedly stopped by the home to buy drugs.

Harold Eugene Patton (right), 50, was charged with maintaining a residence to keep controlled substances after officers located drug paraphernalia and a small amount of crack cocaine.

John Wilson Patton (below, right), 57, was later arrested and faces the same charges as Harold Patton.

Harold Patton's bond was set at $25,000 and John Patton is under a $10,000 bond.

Both men had first court appearances in Burke County District Court on January 24th.


Detectives allege that while they were conducting the Roper Street search, Sandra Mace Carter(below, right) drove by and attempted to purchase crack cocaine from an undercover officer who was on the street near the home.

Carter, 39, was arrested and charged with attempting to obtain controlled substances. She was jailed under a $5,000 bond and had a first court appearance on January 24th.

The searches were conducted by the MorgantonDepartment of Public Safety and their S.E.R.T team, the Burke County Sheriff's Office, N.C. Probation and Parole, and the Burke County Narcotics Task Force.
