| Setzer
Charged with Sexual Abuse of Nine-Year-Old |

The Burke County Sheriff's
Office reports the November 6th arrest of a 44-year-old man in connection with
a reported sexual abuse case of a nine-year-old female
relative.
Detectives allege that Daniel Walter Setzer (right), of 6321 Walker Chapel Road in Morganton
molested the child at her residence on or around November 1st. Authorities
charged the man after he, the child and other family members were
interviewed. |

| Setzer was charged with taking indecent
liberties with a child, and a first degree sexual offense. He was jailed under
a $50,000 bond and had a first court appearance on November 7th. |

| A detective stated that no additional
information can be released at this time. |
