Searching for Armed Robbery Suspects |

| Detectives are hoping to develop some leads in
the reported armed robbery of a local convenience store Sunday
night. |
| |
| According to reports, two men entered the High
Country Convenience Store, located at 2216 Highway 70 East near Morganton, and
demanded money from the clerk. One of the men allegedly displayed a
pistol. |
| |
| After receiving an undisclosed amount of money,
the suspects fled the area on foot. The men were reportedly seen running toward
Morganton on Highway 64-70. Officers from the Burke County Sheriff's Office,
Morganton Department of Public Safety and Drexel Police Department were unable
to locate the duo. |

| The clerk described one of the men as being
Hispanic, and the other as being black. Both suspects were medium to small in
stature, with the Hispanic man being slightly taller than the black man. The
Hispanic man may have had a small mustache, although both suspects reportedly
had their faces covered with a cloth. |
