| Two
Charged in Liberty Church Street Drug Raid |

| A search of an eastern Burke County home
resulted in the confiscation of drugs and paraphernalia, and the arrest of two
men. |

| On Wednesday night, the Burke County Narcotics
Task Force charged Scott Dean Bowman, 42, and Kevin Lee Bowman, 23, of 2290
Liberty Church Street, Hickory with possession of cocaine with intent to sell
and deliver. |

According to a
detective with the Task Force, the home was searched Wednesday night and a
large quantity of cocaine was seized, along with currency and drug
paraphernalia.
Also arrested in the home on an outstanding drug
indictment warrant was Jamie Dale Tipton (left),
24. Two other people in the home were detained, but released at the conclusion
of the search. |

| The men were jailed under $25,000 secured bonds
and will have a first court appearance on Friday. |

| Assisting the Task Force in this case were
community police officers with the Burke County Sheriff's Office. |
