Man Stable in Early Morning Shooting |
| |
 |
Authorities
with the Sheriff's Office have arrested a 61-year-old man for allegedly
shooting another man during an early Monday morning argument.
Det. Chris
Marsh charged William Wayne Logan (left) of
3846 Piney Road, Morganton with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to
kill after deputies arrived at Logan's home to find Thomas Jeffery Edminsten,
21, lying in the yard suffering from a gunshot wound to the back. |
|
| According to Marsh, Edminsten had been at
Logan's home on Sunday afternoon and some type of argument took place.
Edminsten reportedly left the home only to return around 2:00 a.m., where
another argument between the two men occurred, which resulted in Edminsten
being shot once in the back by a small calibre weapon. |
| |
| Edminsten was taken to Grace Hospital and later
transferred to Memorial-St. Joseph's Mission Hospital in Asheville, where his
condition is listed as stable. |
| |
| Logan was placed in the Burke Catawba District
Confinement Facility under a $10,000 secured bond and had a first court
appearance Monday. |
