| Man
Charged with Molesting Two Girls |

A Morganton
man was jailed Saturday after being charged with three counts of taking
indecent liberties with a minor. The man, Pao Thao of Fisher Davis Trailer Park
Lot #37, is accused of molesting two juvenile females.
A deputy was
dispatched to Grace Hospital, where the two girls were being treated for the
alleged sexual abuse. |

| Thao, 33, is reportedly a family friend of the
two girls, according to a news release. |

| Investigators with Burke County Sheriff's Office
and Morganton Department of Public Safety investigated the allegations, since
the assaults reportedly occurred inside and outside the city limits of
Morganton. |

| Thao was jailed under a $100,000 bond and will
have a first court appearance today. More charges are pending, according to
investigators. |
