Charged with Hit and Run of Sister-in-Law |

A Friday domestic
disturbance between a Hickory man and his brother and
sister-in-law escalated into a hit and run with injuries, investigators
state.
Burke County Emergency Services received a report that a white
vehicle had struck the woman, later identified as Lisa Page, at 7088 Hildebran
Mountain Avenue. The vehicle then reportedly fled the scene. |

| Officers with the Burke County Sheriff's Office
and North Carolina Highway Patrol initiated a search, and a suspect vehicle was
spotted on Interstate 40 near Hildebran by Burke Detective David Kiser,
according to reports. The vehicle reportedly had a large tree limb wedged
into the headlight assembly. |

exit in Catawba County and the driver, Randy Allen Page (above, right), 46, of 1235 12th Street NE, Hickory was
subsequently arrested. |

| Lisa Page sustained extreme trauma to her right
leg and foot, according to Kiser. She was transported by ambulance to Frye
Regional Medical Center and later transferred to Baptist Hospital in
Winston-Salem. |

| According to Kiser and Detective Dennis Rhoney,
Randy Page struck Lisa Page with the vehicle after being involved in an
altercation with his brother, David Page Jr. |

| Randy Page was charged with assault with a
deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, and two counts of
assault with a deadly weapon. He was jailed under a $20,500 bond and will have
a first court appearance today. |

| Assisting the Sheriff's Office, Highway Patrol
and EMS in this case was the Icard Fire and Rescue Department. |
