| Drugs in
Motel Room Lead to Woman's Arrest |
| |
A Maiden woman, out of
jail on bond and awaiting trial in different counties for drug charges, is in
hot water again after Burke County Narcotics Task Force officers reportedly
found a quantity of crack cocaine in her eastern Burke County motel
room.
Cindy Willis Woody (right), 35, of
1787 Union Street in Maiden was taken into custody without incident after a
search of the motel room this morning, according to a task force officer. |
 |
|
| Woody was also charged in October, 2002 with cocaine charges
after authorities busted five persons, including Woody, again at an eastern
Burke motel. |
| |
| In the search this morning, investigators said
they located drug paraphernalia, in addition to the crack cocaine. |
| |
| Woody was charged with possession of cocaine
with intent to sell and deliver. She was placed under a $10,000 secured bond
and will have a first court appearance on November 1st. |
