Former Handyman Accused in Burglary |

A Morganton man, who
reportedly did odd jobs in the past for a neighbor, is now accused of breaking
into her home
According to Detective Chris Marsh of the Burke County
Sheriff's Office, Johnny Lee Brown (left), 32, of
1375 Washboard Lane is the person responsible for burglarizing the home of his
neighbor, Paulette Lewis. The offense occurred on October 26th, according to
reports. |

| Marsh stated there was no forcible entry into
the home, in which several undisclosed items were stolen. Brown was developed
as a suspect, the detective said, and arrested shortly after he was questioned
about the incident. |

| Brown was placed under a $10,000 secured bond
and will have a first court appearance today. He is charged with felonious
breaking, entering and larceny, and felonious possession of stolen
property. |
