Faces Another Cocaine Charge |

A
sixty-year-old Morganton woman has been arrested a second time for possession
with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine, and investigators say her arrest
is the result of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of illegal
drugs.
According to the Burke County Narcotics Task Force, Aline Powell
Avery (left) of 103 Branch Street was free on
bond after recently being charged with possession with intent to sell and
deliver cocaine. |

| Detectives with the Task Force and Morganton
Department of Public Safety executed a search at Avery's home on December 9th,
a news release stated. |

| Officers reportedly found five people inside the
residence and secured them without incident. A large quantity of crack cocaine
and currency was found in the home, according to the news release. |

| Avery was also charged with maintaining a
residence to keep controlled substances. She was placed under a $25,000 bond
and had a first court appearance on December 10th. |
