Arrested for Selling Prescription Drugs |
| |
 |
Investigators
with the Burke County Narcotics Task Force arrested a 42-year-old Morganton man
yesterday, charging him with selling drugs from his Suburban Drive
residence.
Detectives charged James Burrell Cantrell (left) of 1726 Suburban Drive Lot #17 with four
counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver a schedule II drug, and
one count of possession with intent to sell a schedule IV drug. |
|
| A narcotics investigator said the Task Force
received a tip on February 22nd concerning suspicious activity occurring at
Cantrell's residence. Officers conducted a search and reportedly found
oxycontin, methadone, percocet and xanax, which they say was being sold from
the residence. |
| |
| Cantrell was not arrested on that date, but was
arrested yesterday after further investigation by the Task Force. Further
charges and arrests are pending, according to investigators. |
| |
| Cantrell was jailed under a $10,000 secured bond
and will have a first court appearance today. |
