Patrol Stop Leads to Drug Charges |

Burke County
Narcotics Task Force officers have charged a 17-year-old Hickory teen with
possession with intent to sell and deliver crack cocaine, after a traffic stop
on March 10th initiated by the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
Harold
Marquis Wilfong (left) of 318 3rd Avenue SE is
also charged with driving without a license, simple possession of marijuana and
underage drinking, according to the Task Force. |

| Wilfong's vehicle was stopped on Hickory Airport
Road by a state trooper, a report said. The vehicle was searched after his
arrest and five grams of crack cocaine was found under the front passenger
seat, according to a Task Force member. |

| The investigator said that additional charges
and arrests in the case are expected. |
| |
| Wilfong was placed under a $3,000 secured bond
and had a first court appearance on Friday. |
