| Lipsey
Arrested on Crack Cocaine Charges |

Burke County
Narcotics Task Force officers have made an arrest from a drug case occurring
back on February 3rd of this year.
On that date, detectives executed a
search warrant at 200 Shady Rest Road in Morganton. The officers reportedly
located forty-two rocks of crack cocaine and currency during the
search.
Benjamin Garland Lipsey (left),
58, of 132 Airpark Drive 3-E, Morganton was not arrested pending further
investigation. |

| The investigation recently concluded, detectives
said, and Lipsey was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell
and deliver crack cocaine. |

| Lipsey was placed under a $5,000 secured bond
and will have a first court appearance on Friday. |
| |
| Also assisting in the case was the Morganton
Department of Public Safety. |
