Funeral Services Set for Lt. Kelly Kincaid
 
Lt. Kelly Kincaid, 41, of Morganton died in the line of duty on Sunday, March 20, 2006.

He was born in Burke County on February 19, 1965 and was the son of Linda Dale Kincaid of Morganton and the late H. Mickey Kincaid, Jr.

Kelly was a lieutenant with the Burke County Sheriff's Office, a reserve fire fighter with Morganton Department of Public Safety, and a reserve police officer with Broughton Hospital. He was a former co-owner of The Boat House, and an avid fisherman and hunter.
 
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife of eight years, Tanya Michelle Fox Kincaid, of the home; his sister, Shannon Kota and her husband, Andrew, of Morganton; maternal grandparents, Marvin J. and Virgie Dale of Hickory; his nephew, Jake Kota; and his father and mother-in-law, Ronnie and Dottie Fox. 
 
The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, March 22nd, at First Baptist Church in Morganton with the Rev. Allan Barlow, Rev. David Bean, and Rev. Dr. Thomas Bland officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. 
 
Lt. Kincaid's body will lie it state at First Baptist Church from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM on Wednesday. 
 
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lt. Kelly Kincaid Scholarship Fund, c/o Burke County Sheriff's Office, 150 Government Drive, Morganton, N.C. 28655.
