Dillingham Facing More Drug Charges
 
Officers responding to a domestic call Wednesday in the Berrytown section of Valdese arrested a man on outstanding warrants.

Burke County Sheriff's deputies said they found Franklin Odean Dillingham (left), 49, of 1640 Berrytown Street, Valdese hiding in a closet. They arrested him on previous warrants for failure to appear and possession of drug paraphernalia. 
 
According to reports,  the deputies were responding to a domestic disturbance call and found several people at Dillingham's residence, both outside in the yard and inside the home.
 
After arresting Dillingham, the deputies searched him and reportedly found seventeen rocks of crack cocaine in his pocket. 
 
Burke County Narcotics Task Force investigators arrived on the scene and searched the home, reportedly finding a stolen 12. gauge shotgun.
 
Dillingham was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, and possession of a stolen firearm. He will have a first court appearance on Friday and is in jail under a $55,500 secured bond.
