Attempted Common Law Robbery |
| |
Jeremy David Greene, 30,
was arrested on February 21, 2007 for felony attempted common law
robbery.
On February 12, 2007, a white male entered the Shop and Save
Convenience store located on Highway 18 North. According to detectives with the
Sheriff's Office, the man entered the store and placed a note on the counter
demanding money from the register. |
 |
|
| The female clerk asked
the man to leave the store, but he refused and the clerk pulled a handgun from
behind the counter. The suspect then fled the store heading towards Caldwell
County in a blue van. |
| |
| Investigators with the
Burke County Sheriff's Office identified the subject, through the store's
security video, as Jeremy David Greene. Greene was able to elude law
enforcement until captured on February 21, 2007 in Caldwell County, where he
was wanted for motor vehicle theft and probation violation. |
| |
| Greene was transported
back to Burke County by detectives and placed in the Burke/Catawba Jail under a
$20,000.00 secured bond. He was charged with felony attempted common law
robbery. First appearance is scheduled for February 23, 2007. |
