| Narcotics Arrest Made After
Vehicle Stop |

On May 14, 2007, the Burke County Sheriff's Office Interstate
Interdiction Deputy Chase Foss conducted a vehicle stop on Hartland Road in
Morganton, for an equipment violation.
Rodrigo Orduna Resendiz, 33,
right, of 1550 Connelly Springs Road Lot # 10, Lenoir, NC, has been
charged with two separate narcotic offenses.

| During the vehicle stop,
Deputy Foss conducted a consent search of Resendiz and located an amount of
powder cocaine and marijuana in the possession of Resendiz. Resendiz then
consented to a search of his residence located in Caldwell County. |

| Deputy Foss contacted
the Burke County Narcotics Task Force, who then contacted the Caldwell County
Narcotics Division. The search of Resendiz's residence yielded more powdered
cocaine and marijuana. |

| The Caldwell County
Narcotics Division charged Resendiz and he was confined in the Caldwell County
Jail. The Burke County Narcotics Task Force placed a hold on Resendiz for the
charges pending in Burke County. |

| Resendiz has been
charged in Burke County with possession with intent to sell and deliver
cocaine, approximately 14 grams, and possession with intent to sell and deliver
marijuana, approximately 466 grams. Additional charges are still pending. |
