Armed Robbery at Local Convenience Store

On July 26, 2007, at approximately 2119 hrs, the Burke County Sheriff's Office responded to the Q Stop Market, located at 1504 Bethel Road, in reference to a reported armed robbery.

When deputies with the Sheriff's Office arrived on scene the store clerk reported that while she was outside on the telephone with a store manager, two white females wearing black hooded sweatshirts with bandanas across their faces came from behind the store and approached her carrying a small handgun.

The two females then reportedly advised the clerk to hang up the phone and made her go back inside and open the register.

The store clerk advised the two females are white, both in their mid 20's, light complexions, and one of the females was said to have blue eyes.

The two female suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and then fled on foot.

The case is currently under investigation by detectives with the Sheriff's Office. If anyone has any information as to the identity of the two suspects, contact the Burke County Sheriff's Office or Crimestoppers.
