Three Dead and Two Wounded in Shooting Incident
 
Charlie Clinard Jackson, 61, left, reportedly shot and killed two brothers, Frank James Clark, 46, and Edward Leroy Clark, 47, both of Connelly Springs, NC. Jackson was also shot and killed during the incident.

Injured in the shooting were, Scott Elliott Campbell, and Janet Elizabeth Lefler, also of Connelly Springs, NC.
 
On Thursday, August 9, 2007, at approximately 10:42 pm, William Clark called 911 to report someone shooting into his mobile home located at 3930 East Burke Blvd. 
 
Clark stated that he and his mother, Shirley Clark, were lying on the floor and a neighbor named Charlie Jackson was reportedly shooting into their mobile home with a rifle.
 
Deputies arrived on the scene and located a white male deceased in a camper located at 3930 East Burke Blvd. Deputies also found a white male, identified as Scott Elliott Campbell, in the front yard. Campbell reported to deputies that he had been shot by Charlie Jackson.
 
During the initial investigation by deputies, another white male identified as Wayne Douglas Clark, arrived and told officers that Mr. Jackson had shot his brother, Edward Leroy Clark, and he thought he was deceased.
 
Wayne Clark also reported to deputies that he had shot Charlie Jackson after Jackson came into his brother's mobile home and opened fire on them. The Burke County Criminal Investigations Division, and the NC State Bureau of Investigation were contacted and responded to both crime scenes.
 
During their investigation, detectives found Frank James Clark deceased inside his camper home at 3930 East Burke Blvd. Scott Elliott Campbell was transported to Asheville for injuries he received while at the residence of Edward Clark, located at 3522 Spaniel Street, Connelly Springs.
 
Investigators located Edward Leroy Clark, and the suspect Charlie Clinard Jackson, deceased inside the home of Edward Clark. Both subjects died as a result of gunshot wounds.
 
Another victim named Janet Elizabeth Lefler, of 3522 Spaniel Street, received injuries to her arm and was transported to Valdese Hospital for treatment.
 
Investigators have not uncovered a motive for the murders at this time. The investigation is still ongoing.
