Offender Caught in Burke County |

Salvador Benito-Victoria, 40, was
arrested yesterday at a residence on Bridle Ridge Lane in Burke
County.
Benito-Victoria is wanted by the Las Vegas Nevada Metro Police
Department for sexual assault and lewdness with a minor. |

| On July 15,
2008, Detectives with the Burke County Sheriff's Office received notification
from investigators with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department that a wanted
sexual offender was thought to be living in Burke County. |

| At
approximately 4:00 pm, detectives went to a residence on Bridle Ridge Lane,
where the suspect was believed to be living. After learning that no one was at
the residence, detectives gathered information from sources in the area. |

| At
approximately 5:00 pm, a telephone call was made to the Burke County Sheriff's
Office notifying detectives that Mr. Benito-Victoria was home and that the
address was correct. |

| Detectives
then went back to the residence and located Mr. Salvador Benito-Victoria. He
was taken into custody without incident. |
| |
| Benito-Victoria was taken before the magistrate and held on a
fugitive from justice warrant without bond. Extradition is pending to the Las
Vegas Metro Police Department. |
