Sex Offender Caught in Burke County

 
 
Salvador Benito-Victoria, 40, was arrested yesterday at a residence on Bridle Ridge Lane in Burke County.

Benito-Victoria is wanted by the Las Vegas Nevada Metro Police Department for sexual assault and lewdness with a minor.
 
On July 15, 2008, Detectives with the Burke County Sheriff's Office received notification from investigators with the Las Vegas Metro Police Department that a wanted sexual offender was thought to be living in Burke County.
 
At approximately 4:00 pm, detectives went to a residence on Bridle Ridge Lane, where the suspect was believed to be living. After learning that no one was at the residence, detectives gathered information from sources in the area.
 
At approximately 5:00 pm, a telephone call was made to the Burke County Sheriff's Office notifying detectives that Mr. Benito-Victoria was home and that the address was correct.
 
Detectives then went back to the residence and located Mr. Salvador Benito-Victoria. He was taken into custody without incident.
 
Benito-Victoria was taken before the magistrate and held on a fugitive from justice warrant without bond. Extradition is pending to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.
