Pennsylvania Man Arrested in Burke for
Trafficking |

| On Tuesday,
March 10, 2009, a Lieutenant with the Burke County Sheriff's Office received
information from the Pennsylvania State Police advising that Kevin Michael
Pierce (pictured above) was wanted for trafficking in drugs by their agency.
They also advised that Pierce was possibly in Burke County. |

| The
Lieutenant, along with members of the Burke County Narcotics Task Force,
located Pierce hiding in a bathroom of a residence south of Morganton. |

| Pierce was
taken into custody without incident. Officers searched the room Pierce was
staying in, along with his belongings, and located a large quantity of
marijuana and cocaine (pictured above). Digital scales and a sum of US currency
was also located. |

| The marijuana
and cocaine was packaged for resale. |
| |
| Authorities
in Pennsylvania placed a hold on Pierce to be extradited back when his charges
are finished in Burke County. Pierce's bond is set at $250,000.00 secured and
his first appearance is scheduled for March 11,2009. |
