Arrest Made on Numerous Breaking and Enterings

 
 
Jordan Lee Weaver, 19, of 338 39th Street Place SW, Hickory, NC was arrested and charged with two counts breaking or entering, four counts felony larceny, and four counts felony possession of stolen goods.

These breaking and enterings occurred between May 6, 2009 and August 5, 2009.
 
 
During May and August of this year, deputies responded to several report of felony breaking and enterings and felony larcenies in the eastern end of Burke County.
 
Detective with the Burke County Sheriff's Office began their investigation of the incidents.
 
During the investigation of an incident that occurred on August 5, 2009, at 202 11th Street NE in Hildebran, NC, detectives developed a suspect, Jordan Lee Weaver. Detectives had located a trail that led from the victim's residence to Weaver's residence, and located items that were consistent with the items that had been reported stolen.
 
Warrants were issued for Mr. Weaver, and on August 21, 2009, he was arrested and interviewed by detectives at the Burke County Sheriff's Office.
 
After the interview, Mr. Weaver rode with detectives and showed them several other locations in Burke County and Longview, where he had stolen air conditioning units, copper, and other miscellaneous items.
 
Mr. Weaver was confined at the Burke Catawba Detention Facility under a $10,000.00 secured bond.
 
On August 25, 2009, detectives received information concerning Mr. Weaver stealing air conditioning units on two separate occasions from the P&J Outlet located at 200 US Hwy 70 East in Hildebran. Both of these had occurred in the last six months.
 
Detectives issued warrants for both incidents and Mr. Weaver was arrested again. Mr. Weaver remained confined at the Burke Catawba Detention Facility and was given an additional $15,000.00 secured bond.
 
Many of the incidents involve businesses with Burke County, Longview, and Hickory, with several of the incidents occurring as far back as 2007.
 
Detectives are continuing their investigations and additional charges are pending in Burke County, Longview, and Hickory.
