Arrest Made in
Robbery/Assault Case |
Brandon Lee Bradshaw, 28, of 5575 Van Horn Road in
Connelly Springs, NC has been arrested and charged with common law
robbery.
The victim, Charles Navy
Carpenter, had also been assaulted during the robbery. |

| On Thursday, October 28, 2010, at approximately 11:05 am,
deputies with the Burke County Sheriff's Office responded to the Valdese
General Hospital Emergency Room in reference to an assault. |
| |
| Deputies arrived on the scene and located the victim, Charles
Carpenter, and observed that he had in fact been assaulted. |
| |
| Deputies also learned that the victim was robbed during the
assault. Detectives with the Burke County Sheriff's Office were then notified
of the situation and responded to Valdese General Hospital to further
investigate the incident. |

| Through the development of new leads by the Burke County
Criminal Investigations Division, and after consultation with the Burke County
District Attorney's Office, a warrant was issued on Brandon Lee
Bradshaw. |

| On Tuesday, January 10, 2011, the Burke County Sheriff's Office
arrested Brandon Lee Bradshaw for common law robbery. The investigation is
still on-going at this time. |
| |
| Brandon Bradshaw was released at the Burke County Magistrate's
Office under a $50,000.00 unsecured bond. First court appearance is scheduled
for January 11, 2012. |
